A Little Bit About My Life.

Hi everyone, my name is Sofia. I live in Chicago, Illinois and I am currently a freshman in high school. My life can sometimes be challenging due to an illness. I am hyper flexible and most likely have type III Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. This means that I have a group of mutated genes. Everyday I have pain in all of my joints. This makes my life a little different then the average teenager. I can't participate in gym or participate in sports. But hey, everyones life is challenging in their own way. My family puts up with a lot of my problems and i am so thankful for them. I have a little sister, Grace, who is 9 years old.

She may get on my nerves sometimes, but I will always love her. She is such an adorable and caring little girl. no matter how much we may fight, I know she will always be here for me. :) I have been friends with my best friend, Maddie, since we were in kindergarten. She has been here for me through thick and thin and I tell her everything. We have been through so much together and I have no clue what I would do without her. She gets me though my tough days at school and always helps me keep things in perspective. I am also close with my cousin, Emily. She is 10 months older than me so we grew up together. She is so special to me and we have gone through so much. Just like Maddie, I don't know where I would be without this beautiful girl. She helps me with all of my struggles and still puts up with me when I'm at my worst. In this picture of Homecoming, I am on the left, Maddie is in the middle, and Emily is on the right.
My parents help me though everything. They told me that they aren't going to stop until we figure out my illness. They help me through so many difficult situations and I am so thankful for them. They give me so much great advice and I am thankful for their time and attention when I need it. I am also thankful for how they raised me and teaching me how to be a respectful and polite young lady.
Maddie's family has been there for me as long as I've known Maddie. They are so relevant in my life and they are truly an inspiration to me. They are such selfless and caring people who always put others before themselves. They are amazing and beautiful people who I am honored to have in my life.

Well I hope you will enjoy my blog, there is more to come :)
